Car Insurance Audi (Car Insurance). Can any Lexus dealership pull a car at another Toyota/Lexus dealership and sell it?Can any Lexus dealership pull a car at another Toyota/Lexus dealership and sell it? I am wondering if my Lexus dealership will be able to pull the car I want that is currently at a Toyota dealership 2 states over. Can this Lexus dealership buy this car at their inventory price from the Toyota dealership? And then sell it to me? Yes, they can arrange to buy it from that dealer, transport it, and sell it to you. Yes, they can make a dealer trade. Talk to any sales associate at the dealership for further help because all dealerships will do it differently Maybe. But generally, they would have to pay the other dealer a small profit and then pay to drive the car back or have it shipped. All of which increases the price they will sell to you at. No, a Lexus Dealership cannot "dealer trade" with a Toyota Dealership...well, let me re-phrase...99.9% of the time, they cannot. A Toyota Dealership also cannot trade with a Lexus Dealership. Audi . How to Install Fog Lights on a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LSDamage to the fog lights on your Monte Carlo LS most often happens from road debris hitting and cracking the lens on the lights during travel. This subjects the bulbs within the lighting assembly to water and causes them to burn out or short circuit. Water also often enters the assembly from driving through deep puddles. Install new fog lights on your 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS right at home with a few tools in less than 30 minutes. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Hydraulic jack Jack stand Socket wrench set Flat-head screwdriverSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Open the driver's door on your Monte Carlo LS and apply the emergency brake. 2 Raise the car on the driver's side near the front tire with a hydraulic jack. Place a jack stand beneath the frame rail two inches away from the hydraulic jack. Lift the support arm on the jack stand until it makes contact with the frame rail. 3 Lower the hydraulic jack slightly until the car rests on the jack stand's support arm. Don't remove the hydraulic jack or completely lower it. Leave it in place for extra support. 4 Slide under the front end of the car on the driver's side so that you're able to clearly see the rear of the fog light. 5 Remove the two nuts on the back of the fog light assembly with a socket wrench. Push the fog light forward, out of the front bumper. The wiring harness connected to the fog light doesn't provide that much slack, so try not to use too much force. 6 Slide from beneath the car and position yourself directly in front of the fog light. If you look through the side of the fog light assembly, you should be able to clearly see the wiring harness plugged into the back of the bulb. 7 Lift the wiring harnesses safety clip by inserting a flat-head screwdriver under the clip until it rises up. Leave the screwdriver in position temporarily. Hold the fog light assembly in one hand. Unplug the wiring harness with your other hand. Do not directly pull on the harness wires--instead remove the harness by its plug. The screwdriver will simply fall onto the ground once you completely remove the harness plug from the fog light bulb. 8 Install the new fog light on your 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS by completely reversing all of the removal steps. You won't need the flat-head screwdriver; just plug the harness back up to the fog light bulb by hand and it clicks into position. Tips & Warnings If you just want to change the fog light bulb, turn the bulb counterclockwise and remove it from the rear of the fog light assembly. You may have to remove the plastic adjusting nut at the rear of the assembly for more clearance. If so, count the visible threads on the adjusting nut, remove it and replace it with the same amount of visible threads. The adjusting nut aims the fog lights so the correct thread count is critical. Use some nail polish or a fine tip permanent marker to mark the threads if you have to. Suggest item Thanks for suggesting an item. Tip Warning ItemAdd Item Done
Audi . How to Install a Fog Light for a 2003 Honda AccordHonda was a well-known manufacturer of motorcycles when it made its first automobile in the 1960s. The Accord was the largest Honda car to date when it was introduced as a 1976 model. The Accord grew in size over the years, and in 2003 its standard four-cylinder engine had gained almost 100 horsepower from the original car‘s engine. Many Accords came with factory-installed fog lights in the 2003 model year that feature replaceable bulbs. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need 12 mm wrench 10 mm wrench Replacement fog light bulb Step by Step : 1 Remove the fog light assembly from the lower front bumper fascia panel by loosening and removing the two 12 mm retaining screws with a 12 mm wrench and the two 10 mm screws with a 10 mm wrench. Set the screws aside. 2 Pull the fog light assembly straight out of the bumper fascia panel. Unplug the wiring connector on the back of the fog light assembly by pulling it apart by hand. 3 Twist the bulb out of the back of the fog light assembly in a counterclockwise direction and discard it. 4 Do not touch the glass portion of your replacement halogen fog light bulb, as oils or grease could cause it to fail prematurely. Hold the bulb by the base and push it into the socket on the back of the fog light assembly. Twist the bulb in a clockwise direction until it locks into place and the tab on the fog light assembly lines up with the cutout on the bulb. 5 Push the wiring connector from the front bumper back into the rear of the fog light assembly until it is fully seated. 6 Push the fog light assembly back into place on the front bumper fascia, being careful not to pinch the wiring. Tighten the retaining screws with a 10 mm and 12 mm wrench in a clockwise direction. Do not over-tighten the screws. Tips & Warnings If you inadvertently touch the glass portion of your replacement halogen fog light bulb, wipe the bulb off gently with a soft, clean cloth before installation. Test your fog lights after replacement. Adjust the aim of the fog light by turning the screw at the top of the fog lamp assembly with a Philips screwdriver in the direction needed to adjust the aim up or down. Turn the screw in a clockwise direction to lower the beam and in a counterclockwise direction to raise the beam. For safety's sake, make sure you are as visible as possible to other drivers. Check all of your car’s light bulbs regularly and replace burnt-out ones as soon as possible. *Your car may not start for a number of reasons. The following list outlines the most common circumstances and tells you what action you can take to try to remedy each situation: * The car is silent when you turn the key in the ignition. Check the battery terminal cable connections (see Chapter 3). If they look very corroded, force the point of a screwdriver (with an insulated or wooden handle) between the connector and the terminal post and twist it to lodge it firmly. Then try to start the engine. If it starts, you need to clean or replace your cables. You can find instructions for cleaning them in Chapter 3. The car makes a clicking noise but won't start. This sound usually means a dead battery. If not, check the wiring to and from the starter for a loose connection. * The car cranks over but won't start. Check the fuel supply to your engine (see "Fuel" earlier in this chapter, and Chapter 13). If that's okay, check whether the electrical spark is getting through (see "Fire," earlier in this chapter, and Chapter 12). * The engine starts but dies. If your car has a carburetor, check your carburetor adjustment and your choke to see whether the choke is first closing and then opening. (Chapter 13 has instructions for both of these checks.) If you have fuel injection, you'll need professional help. 962

Check inside the distributor cap for dampness (see "Servicing Your Distributor" in Chapter 12). If you find moisture, get some mechanic's solvent from your friendly service station — they use it to clean car parts — or buy an aerosol can of it at an auto supply store. To evaporate any dampness inside the distributor cap, turn the cap upside down and pour or spray some solvent into it. Swish it around and pour it out. Then dry the cap as best you can with a clean, lint-free rag and replace the cap. .Chapter 21: What to Do If Your Car Drops Dead or Won't Start A /j 2 Use only clean solvent; even a tiny speck of dirt can foul the points. Jumping, a start If your battery has died, you may be able to use jumper cables to jump a start from some Good Samaritan's car — with one important exception. If either vehicle has an electronic ignition system, the use of jumper cables may damage it. If your vehicle is one that may be damaged in this way, you may find a warning to that effect in the owner's manual or on a decal under the hood. Even if you don't find a warning, it pays to be sure, so call the service department at your dealership and ask about your vehicle's make, model, and year. If you can safely use jumper cables on your vehicle, make sure that the battery on the Good Samaritan's vehicle has at least as much voltage as your own. It doesn't matter whether your car has negative ground and the GS's car has positive ground, or your car has an alternator and the GS's car has a generator, as long as you hook up the cables properly (and the proper way is the same in every case).
